In July 2018, Ofsted conducted a short inspection of the academy and concluded "this school continues to be good". Please see the report below for information.
In May 2014, Ofsted conducted an inspection of the school, judging it to be good in all areas.
The team noted the following:
‘Pupils behave well. They are friendly, polite and considerate.’
‘Pupils feel safe and secure and know adults will help them whenever they need it.’
‘Parents and carers are highly appreciative of all the school does.’
‘Teachers and teaching assistants have appropriately high expectations for all. They understand well how to teach pupils with learning difficulties and pupils’ smiling faces show how successful staff are in encouraging a love of learning.’

Exam Results
We are a Specialist Academy that caters for learners with significant and complex learning and medical needs. It is not appropriate to judge the school's outcomes as it relates to the national measures.
All students' attainments and achievements are personalised, our aspirations are collectively high and our outcomes for the learners within our context are outstanding. We are very proud of our achievements.
