Celebrating Our Learning! Here are just a few of the beautiful displays going up around school, celebrating and sharing all the wonderful learning taking place across Warren Wood! We love seeing our pupils' hard work, creativity and achievements proudly displayed around school. It's a lovely way to celebrate everything they are learning and remind us all of just how much our pupils can achieve.

We're pleased to be hosting a Meet the Schools in Your Area event for families whose children will be starting Reception in September 2027. Come along to meet local schools, ask questions and find out more about what they can offer your child and family. You'll also be able to meet the Best Start Family Hub Lead and hear more about the support, activities and services available to children and families through the Family Hub offer. Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with friends, family and local community groups who have children starting school in September 2027. We look forward to welcoming you!

A proud day for Warren Wood and our Trust Today, we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Department for Education (DfE) who visited some schools across our Trust to see first hand the fantastic work taking place. At Warren Wood, the visit followed our recent Ofsted inspection and gave us another opportunity to showcase our wonderful school, our children and the community that surrounds them. Our visitors were particularly impressed by the calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the school as well as our strong focus on communication and belonging. We spoke a great deal about how Warren Wood is so much more than just the school itself. Our community includes our children and staff, our families, the external agencies we work alongside and everyone who plays a part in supporting our children's lives and progress. The Department for Education recognised this sense of community as a real strength of Warren Wood which was wonderful to hear. We are incredibly proud of everyone who helps make Warren Wood the special place it is. Well done, Warren Wood and thank you to all our families and wider community for your continued support.

Teeth & Oral Hygiene Workshop Yesterday, some of our Key Stage 2 pupils enjoyed a workshop with Lucia-May, learning all about how to look after their teeth and gums and which foods help to keep them healthy. In the afternoon, Lucia-May also held a workshop for parents and carers, discussing the importance of good oral hygiene and how it can impact not only our teeth, but also our speech and overall health. A big thank you to Lucia-May for a really informative day!

A fantastic first full week at Warren Wood! Our classrooms are carefully prepared each day, ready to welcome pupils into school and provide a calm, purposeful start to their learning. This consistent approach helps pupils to become familiar with their routines, develop confidence and build independence. It has been wonderful to see everyone settling in so well, exploring their learning environments and becoming increasingly confident in their daily routines. We are delighted to share some photographs from a very positive first full week at Warren Wood.

New equipment, new adventures! Our outdoor area in EYFS is getting an upgrade! New cars, balancing planks, tyres and more are ready for our children to explore, move and play. And we're not finished yet... Over half term, we'll be resurfacing the area and creating a new mud kitchen and nature exploration space! Watch this space!

Exciting developments in EYFS! A huge thank you to Huws Gray in Gainsborough for generously sharing materials with us for our new shed base. We really appreciate your support in helping us bring our plans to life! There are lots of exciting developments to come in EYFS outdoor area and we can't wait to share our progress with you. A huge congratulations to our very own Mr Drury! We are incredibly proud to share that Mr Drury was a winner at the BBC Make a Difference Awards on Friday evening! The award recognises his fantastic contribution to Sands United South Yorkshire, a football team supporting men who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby or child. Mr Drury's dedication to the team, along with his commitment to fundraising and supporting others, has been recognised with this very well-deserved award. A fantastic achievement, Mr Drury-everyone at school is extremely proud of you! Keep an eye out for Mr Drury's interview on BBC Look North tonight!

An update about our Facebook pages We're making a small change to our Facebook presence! Until now, Aegir and Warren Wood Schools have shared this Facebook page. To make it easier for parents, carers and our wider school communities to find news and information relevant to each school, we are creating separate Facebook pages for each school. Going forward, each school will have its own page where we'll share updates, celebrations, events, reminders and all the wonderful things happening in school. This page will now become the dedicated page for Warren Wood School. We will share the link for Aegir when ready. We encourage parents, carers, families and members of our community to follow the relevant page (or both!) to keep up to date. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to sharing even more of what makes each of our schools amazing.

What an incredible day at our Warren Wood Summer Fayre! We're delighted to share that we raised an amazing £886.29! It was fantastic to see so many families and friends of our school join us. A huge thank you to our amazing PTA, staff and pupils for all their hard work running stalls and making the day so special. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to everyone who came along, supported us and helped create such a brilliant community event.
