Scouting at Aegir is an important part of our wider curriculum offer, providing students with opportunities to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills. Participation is optional, allowing families to decide whether it is the right opportunity for their child.

Through a carefully adapted programme, students take part in practical, hands-on activities that promote teamwork, communication, problem-solving and resilience. Students can work towards recognised badges and awards linked to areas such as outdoor learning, creativity, science and community engagement. Key Stage 4 students may also have opportunities to complete elements of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and ASDAN programmes.

Scouting helps students build confidence and independence through real-life experiences including cooking, teamwork, outdoor learning and community activities, supporting preparation for adulthood and life beyond school.
