Applications
The majority of our Year 11 students transition to our Sixth Form and we also welcome visits and applications from students in other schools, including mainstream settings, who require a transition to a small specialist setting as they prepare for adult life. This can be arranged by contacting us to meet with the Head of Sixth Form.
Once a decision has been made to apply for a place at Aegir, this is recorded at the annual review of the EHCP and a consultation will follow; this includes Year 11 students who are already with us.
Admissions take place throughout the school year.
Open Days
The next Transitions Open Day is planned for Wednesday 7th February 2024 and will be an opportunity to find more information about our Sixth Form and also a wide range of local providers involved in Further Education, Employment, Supported Internships, Community Involvement, and Adult Services.
Individual visits from both new and current parents and students to find out more about our Sixth Form are welcomed and encouraged.
